Is your face a big mess when you try to contour?  Just can’t get the hang of it?  Well, L’Oreal Paris has made it easier for you.
I first saw Kandee Johnson talking about these L’Oreal Paris The One Sweep Sculpting Blush Duos ($14.99 CDN) and was instantly intrigued. How could you get perfect contouring and colour all in one sweep?  Was it possible?  I had to try it.
I managed to get two colours, Flush, which is is red-based blush, similar to NARS’ Orgasm, and Poppy, a lighter pink.  I believe that the bronzer in the two is the same shade.  There is also two other shades: Nectar, which is a peach colour, and Posh, which looks like a mauve-type shade. So how does it work?  Well, in the bottom compartment (you flip the blush/bronzer part up) there is a V-shaped brush and mirror.  You are supposed to sweep the brush across the pan in a diagonal direction to pick up both the blush and bronzer.  You go back and forth about three to four times.  Then, starting at the apple of your cheek, you sweep the brush on your cheeks back and forth depositing the colour on your cheeks and cheekbones. So does it work?  Do you end up with a stripe of two colours on your face? Surprisingly, no.  The colour goes on your face quite smoothly and although I didn’t notice much contouring, it does leave a perfect application of the blush.
I did a demo of both colours to see how they turn out when you apply them. I started off with a basic face, just foundation, concealer, and lipstick.
Bare face. Makeup used: MAC Pro Longwear foundation in NC15, ELF undereye concealer, Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder, MAC Blankety lipstick
The first colour that I tested out was Flush.  It’s a rose coloured blush that reminds me a lot like Orgasm.
Flush
With Flush there is definitely a lot of colour payoff.  It is a bit too bold of a colour for me for daytime, maybe if I was going out at night to a dark place then I would wear this colour.  Of course, you can always apply it with a lighter hand and it won’t be this bold or you could grab your blush brush and blend it a bit more.  Like I mentioned earlier, I didn’t see much of the bronzer shade, I would probably have to contour my cheeks myself.
The other colour I got was Poppy, which is a lighter pink shade, very appropriate for day time or for a subtle look.Like I mentioned above, Poppy is much more subtle than Flush.  I would for sure wear this colour to work, to run errands, lazy days, etc.  Between the two, I like Poppy better.
So final thoughts?  I like this product, but not for contouring. L’Oreal had a really good idea, but I think that the bronzer part of the product should have been a lot more darker.  The blush was noticeable but that’s about it.  I would recommend this product to someone who is just starting out with makeup or for someone who doesn’t have a lot of time.  The brush is really cool and does apply the colour very well and in the right place.
Have you tried L’Oreal Paris’ The One Sweep Sculpting Blush Duo?  What were your thoughts?

There are girls who wear make up, and girls who don’t. Among girls who don’t wear make up there are ones who wish they knew how to use and apply make up properly, then there are those who pretend they don’t give a rat’s ass, but deep down want to know how to use make up, and well there are ones who really don’t care.
Girls who wear make up can be divided into way more categories, than girls who don’t. But today we’ll be dividing them into 3: those who accentuate the eyes, those who accentuate the lips, or those who accentuate both. In spite of all these differences in preferences, all of the above trends are “IN” for the upcoming winter and spring.

Hi guys!

I bought eshiko face powder around 10 days ago and it arrived today! I am very happy and pleased and so excited to use it.

I heard a lot of good feedbacks for this face powder coming from my friends. 4 friends of mine are using this powder and they all have great things to say about the product that is why I was convinced to buy it online from their website.

The product costs 30 bucks and it is available only in Japan unless you buy it from their site, they can ship anywhere in the world. I am from New York and it arrived fast. Shipping is free as well. Basically, it only have one ingredient, it is 100% hydrated silica but the company says its the smallest hydrated silica in the market and it is infused with water so it won't dry the skin. The company also says that this is the best translucent powder ever and they will give you your money back in case you do not agree.

It arrived in the packaging ( pictured ) and the label says 10 grams but I think its more than 10 grams since I am quite familiar with face powders and size. I do not know what is their purpose of sending me lots of eshiko, do they know I am a face powder reviewer? Well, I bet its around 20 grams or more.

I immediately wash my face and use a toner and moisturizer as what their website instructed:

1. Wash your face with mild soap and water. Ensure that no peeling dead skin is present by gently rubbing your face with your fingers in circular manner. Use a facial scrub if necessary.
2. Tone your skin. Use a mild toner and gently rub it against your skin using a cotton ball or a cotton pad. Avoid excessive rubbing.
3. Wait around 5 minutes before putting on your moisturizer. Avoid moisturizers that contains fragrance. Use a mild, fragrance free moisturizer.
4. Using a kabuki brush, gently dab a small amount of ESHIKO™ and brush it all over your face in a circular motion.
5. Reapply ESHIKO™ as necessary. You need not remove oil and sweat from your face during retouching as ESHIKO™ works best in the presence of oil and sweat.
Upon applying the powder all I can say is AMAZING! The powder has a very slick feeling, it glides very well into my skin. But that is not the best part, the best thing about eshiko is the effects. It really gives your skin a radiant and vivid glow and it instantly makes your pores small and refined.

It gives an illusion of smooth and clear skin because it refracts light. So the powder is best used when there are light sources. It really make my skin smooth, refined and glowing.

I highly recommend this product. One eshiko will last for around 8 months to a year. Its worth it!

‘Make up and skin care’ is generally regarded as women’s forte. Men seldom indulge in ‘Make up and skin care’. Many men do care for their skin but make up is really alien to most men. Treating make up and skin care as different topics wouldn’t make sense; after all, make up will work only if the skin is healthy. So how do you exercise make up and skin care, together? Here are some tips for make up and skin care:

* Always have skin care on mind, whether you are buying products for make up or actually applying them onto your skin after you have bought them. So what you are buying is a ‘make up and skin care’ product, not just a make up product. Check the ingredients to see if it contains things that you might be allergic to. Also check if it contains high concentration chemicals that can harm your skin.

* ‘Make up and skin care’ is also about testing the products before using them. So, apply the make up on a small patch of skin e.g. earlobes and check how your skin reacts to it.

* Keep track of expiry date on your make up products and never use them beyond the expiry date. In fact some products (e.g. vitamin C based products), if not stored properly, get spoilt much earlier than the expiry date.

* Cleanliness is an important part of make up and skin care procedure. Sharpen your eye-liners regularly and keep all your makeup equipment clean at all times. You might fix a date, each month, for overhauling of your equipment. As part of cleanliness, your make up and skin care procedure should also include keeping your hair clean at all times.

* Nail care is another important aspect of make up and skin care. Use a good quality nail polish and always keep your nails clean. Once you are done with cleaning and polishing your nails, you should rub in cuticle oil at the edges of the nail.

* If you have deep-set eyes, you should use a liquid eye liner instead of a pencil one. This will prevent smudging at the deep edges of your eye-lid.

* If you have a skin disorder e.g. acne, you should not apply heavy or chemical based make up. Consult your dermatologist if you are not sure about the make up products that you can use while you have acne or other skin disorder. Never try to squeeze pimples/ acne. Remember that make up and skin care should not conflict each other.

* Use a mild make up remover (instead of just washing it away).

* Another important ‘make up and skin care’ procedure is the following golden rule: “Never sleep with your make up on”

* While applying a deodorant, make sure that you maintain the recommended distance between the nozzle and your skin (as mentioned on the deodorant pack).

So, make up and skin care should always go hand in hand. Do not try to treat make up and skin care differently.

Airbrushing can be done on almost anything that you can imaging. Airbrush art is one way to take something and turn it into a master piece. Over hand painted art, airbrush art can be done in less time but with the same great effects if not better. There is more that you can do with airbrushing that you can not do with hand painting. You can take airbrushing and create a beautiful mural on a concrete wall to turn that once bland wall into a work of art worthy of some attention. While you can do this by hand the time factor makes airbrushing a better choice.

Airbrush art can also be applied to the body to create temporary tattoos and thus uses the human body as a canvas for an artist's imagination. Cigarette lighters are also being used as a way for artist to show of their airbrush art. The once simple looking lighter is now a display item with awesome art on it.

So with everything being available for artist to use as a canvas for their airbrush art and with art being the taking of
something and then turning it into a masterpiece, there is now a question posed. Is airbrush makeup just another form of airbrush art? Can the application of makeup with the use of an airbrush be art? Or is it still just the application of makeup that just happens to use an airbrush?

When looking at what airbrushing does when used to apply makeup, a lot of people do believe that this is a form of airbrush art. When make up is airbrushed on the effects of what it does to the subject can be really drastic. Take a woman who has flawed skin and airbrush a light foundation onto her face and you now have a woman with perfect skin. The great thing is that the foundation is light weight and barely noticeable. Airbrush makeup has been able to take a woman that is plain and turn her into an exotic beauty with the right application of certain makeup. The effects of airbrushed makeup are more natural but at the same time more dramatic than the use of regular make up.

The application of makeup takes time and a lot of practice to be able to do perfectly. The human face is one canvas where an artist does not want to mess up. One must be sure of their abilities with not only the application of the right makeup but also with use of an airbrush to apply those makeups.

Those that apply make up are considered artists and airbrushing on makeup is just another great way that they have found to show off their artistic median. The make up goes on water and has to dry. As it dries those watching can see the transformation of the subject from what she was to what she is now becoming. This is why a lot of people do believe that airbrush makeup is another form of airbrush art.
